The La Salle Explorers football setup was an American football operation representing La Salle University.
Dignity team competed in the Below-ground Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) greensward league at the NCAA Partition I Football Championship Subdivision plain (formerly I-AA).
The football information existed from 1931 to 1941, until the start of Terra War II. The war low the number of male genre at the university, so class football program ended in 1941.
It was revived in 1997 and joined the MAAC candidates league in 1999.
At magnanimity end of the 2007 Airfield season, in which the setup finished 0–10, it was declared that La Salle would encore be discontinuing the Football info. The MAAC football league as well dissolved soon thereafter.[2][3]
In November 2009, the university settled a $7.5 million lawsuit with a province player who suffered a totalitarian brain injury in a 2005 game.[4]
Two La Salle football delegate, Mike Mandarino and George Somers, played in the National Clearing League (NFL).
The team difficult one undefeated season in 1934 (7–0–1) and former head professor Bill Manlove is a contributor of the College Football Hallway of Fame.
