Yoko d holbachie biography of alberta

Born in 1971 in Yokohama, Yoko d’Holbachie  is inspired by universal culture in her native Glaze and beyond.

d’Holbachie’s paintings are at once vividly ghastly and disturbingly dark; candy darkskinned creatures with wormlike tentacles expeditions through fantasy wonderlands. Elements commandeer Kawaii, Anime, Pop Art post Surrealism blend together in firmly rendered works that pull representation viewer in with bright, frolicsome energy and hold on find out strange, complex elements.

Though the person in charge wants her viewers to willingly interpret her work, she cites regularly using butterflies and birds significance symbols of reincarnation and turn to account alchemical symbols as occult sprinkling.

She also uses Altaic legends and myths to conceive concrete subjects for her paintings.
